We’ve just cracked open a Weiss Schwarz Star Wars Vol. 2 booster box on the channel, and it turned out to be a pretty interesting session. You can watch the full opening here: https://youtu.be/tNe-zAK80-4.
The big highlight of the box was the side-by-side look at two standout versions of the same card: the Force Parallel (FOP) edition and the SP (Special Illustration) edition. Both cards feature the same character, but the treatment makes a huge difference:
Force Parallel (FOP): These versions showcase an alternate design with bold framing and an added “Force” flair unique to this set. They’re striking, collectible, and a little easier to pull compared to SPs.
SP (Special Illustration): The premium chase. These cards feature full-art illustrations, gold stamping, and a textured finish. They’re harder to find and hold serious collector appeal, especially for Star Wars fans who love the crossover with Weiss Schwarz.
In the video, you can clearly see the details of both cards, how they look side by side, and where they sit in terms of rarity and collectability. For players, it’s all about which version you’d rather flex in your deck. For collectors, it’s about the chase and how these cards stand out in a binder.
Whether you’re new to Weiss Schwarz or a long-time collector, the Star Wars Vol. 2 set offers some of the most eye-catching designs yet. Check out the video, and let me know which version you prefer – the Force Parallel or the SP edition.
